Hey everyone! This is my first official tutorial video in my series to teach you macrame and have you learn with me as you learn new knots and patterns. This tutorial teaches you 5 different knots that you can use to make almost any product or wall piece.
These are the 5 knots that are covered in this video:
Lark's Head
Cow Hitch
Square Knot
Spiral Knot
Half Hitch/ Double Half Hitch going left and right
Materials Needed for this practice:
Wooden dowel with a way to hang it. This is just a $20 clothes stand from Amazon and I use it for almost every project. If you are looking to get into macrame I highly suggest this or something like this to get you going with some "S" Hooks
3mm cotton cord. This is single strand in this video. For beginners, 3 ply is easier to work with because it is harder to "overwork" and become unraveled. For this just look up 3mm cotton macrame cord and get whatever colors you like. I would suggest cheaper things as you are learning and get nicer quality as you get more experienced.
Next video will be a Gathering Knot and combining this plus square knots to make a simple plant hanger.
